Thank you for choosing GetTheScript. We strive to provide the best AI transcription service for content creators.
Since our products are digital goods (credit packages) that are delivered instantly and can be consumed immediately, all sales are generally considered final and non-refundable. However, we understand that technical issues can happen. This Refund Policy outlines the specific circumstances under which we may grant a refund.
2. Eligibility for Refunds
We are committed to fair business practices. You are eligible for a full or partial refund under the following specific circumstances:
- Technical Failure: If the Service fails to generate a transcript due to a verified technical error on our end (e.g., system crash, parsing error), and our support team is unable to resolve the issue within 48 hours of your report.
- Duplicate Billing: If you were accidentally charged more than once for the same transaction due to a payment processing error.
- Unused Credits (7-Day Window): If you purchased a credit package by mistake and have not used a single credit, you may request a refund within 7 days of the purchase date. Once any credits from a package have been used, the package is considered "opened" and is no longer eligible for a refund.
3. Non-Refundable Scenarios
To protect the integrity of our Service and prevent abuse, refunds will NOT be granted in the following situations:
- Change of Mind: You simply decided you no longer need the service after using some credits.
- User Error: You provided an incorrect, private, or inaccessible video URL (e.g., a deleted video or a video from a private account).
- Partial Usage: You have used a portion of your credits and want a refund for the remaining balance.
- Platform Changes: As stated in our Terms of Service, GetTheScript relies on third-party platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube). If these platforms make changes (such as API updates or blocking access) that temporarily affect our ability to generate transcripts, this is considered an external force majeure event and does not qualify for an automatic refund of previously purchased credits.
4. How to Request a Refund
To submit a refund request, please follow these steps:

- Use the subject line: "Refund Request - [Your Order ID]".
- Include the email address used for the purchase and a brief description of the issue (e.g., screenshots of the error).
We aim to review and respond to all refund requests within 24-48 hours.
5. Processing of Refunds
If your refund request is approved:
- The refund will be issued to your original payment method via our Merchant of Record (Creem.io).
- Refunds will be processed within 3 business days. Please allow additional time for the funds to appear in your bank account, depending on your bank's processing times.
- Once a refund is issued, the corresponding credits will be removed from your account balance.
6. Chargebacks and Disputes
We encourage you to contact us directly to resolve any billing issues.
If you initiate a chargeback or dispute with your bank or credit card provider without contacting us first, we reserve the right to permanently suspend your account and revoke access to all services. Friendly fraud (claiming a legitimate transaction is fraudulent) will be reported to relevant payment processors.
